My passion for travel has taken me to many beautiful and interesting places. I was drawn to the unique culture and diverse history of Western North Carolina and decided to stay awhile to explore. Twelve years later, I'm still exploring and I now reside in Black Mountain. I have found the mountains a constant source of inspiration for me, and they harbor much of the subject matter for my work. Using a camera to capture the essence of the beauty around me has been, and continues to be, a never-ending joy and challenge. In addition to traditional photography, I enjoy creating new and unique works of art, such as Polaroid image and emulsion transfers and mixed media collage.
